Great shots, Marcel. Love all three, specially the second city shot. Nice sharp capture.

I love all three of them, Marcel! Beautiful shots and excellent PP - - - that TIMES sign is very clear and sharp!

What was the bright light from the side on the third pic?
Well Helene, there was a parking besides me and believe me, it was not that bright. The long exposure kind of brought it up.

I had the chance to do a guided tour to the canadian parliament in Ottawa yesterday and this is one of the shots that came out of it. The second one is of the museum of civilization where the light was just right for the mood shot.

Nice job, Marcel! The colors, patterns, and lines (especially in the first image) are all great!

Great shots. The first one is fantastic! The only thing keeping the second one from being perfect are the 2 poeple in the background...but nothing a little PS cant fix.

Nice stuff Marcel. The colour and perspective of the first shot looks great. Nice work.

I am going to give Photomatix a whirl. There are times that CS5 doesn't quite do it. I have been trying out Photomatix, but was unsure whether I would use it. I understand that a lot of folks use Photomatix, but put on the finishing touches in Photoshop. We'll see what happens!

This one was done with CS5 HDR photomerge. Sometimes I use Photomatix too. I find photomatix works better when things have moved in between exposures (trees, leaves, etc). And some other times, I tried with Photomatix and started back with CS5. I guess it's always the question on what result I'm looking for.

so I've been out of town for work to pay for the lenses and the cameras... LOL
Here's what I came up with:

HDR 3 hand held exposures D700 at 800 Iso. Taken in Riviere du Loup Quebec.

House at dusk same location.

Another HDR done at Riviere du Loup from the observatory

finally, done today, concert pianist during orchestra rehearsal D700 6400 iso 1/200,f 5.6.

Love all of them, Marcel! Really gorgeous shots and great job on the HDR! (it still looks like it's cold over there!)

I was very cold indeed.

I have a few to PP before I post and I have to make a correction: All shots from Riviere du Loup were made with the D7000.
