Day 32, 2013 - Fear The Cookie

This large solid cat, Oreo, is at home giving love snuggles as much as she is with cutting you in half with her very large paws and sharp talons. Yeah, talons. I believe she was sitting there in the road denying passage. If a car tried to pass she would have sliced the sidewalls wide open. All wise animals stay clear of her as she is battle tested and proven.

Love it. There are some cats that no one should argue with. I had one like that. Her name was Grendel. Need I say more?

Day 34, 2013 - Das Boot & Fog Crystals

Out shopping with the wife when she saw some boots to pick up for the daughter. She told me to snap a picture and fire it to our daughter to see if it's something she would like. While sending her the picture from my phone I noticed that my wife passed behind the boot at the same time I snapped the picture and it looks like she is in the boot. My wife is really tiny or this is one giant boot.

This morning we got a fog that started freezing on things. Couldn't resist shooting the crystals.

Still playing with matches. Finding it fascinating to see what happens in the blink of an eye and is then gone. In this one you can see the bubbling burn of the flammable whatever that is in matches.

Tough shooting conditions: One vertical mile, fog and mist, low/setting light, and hand held. Turned out pretty good all things considered.

It's funny how we can't see things unless we know what it is. Someone posted a picture of their dog on a dog bed but it was rotated 45° counter clockwise and I couldn't figure out what I was looking at.

Ok, it's an ugly picture from my cell phone. My camera was on the other side of the gate and the best I could do was my phone camera.
