Day 141
Stalk her in the Park (I love play on words)

Took the kids to the park today. Wanted Chris to have the opportunity to shoot as much as the kid as she could. So while she was stalking the kids, I stalked her.

A little of both? Chris has learned when I ask her not to move to freeze (for what ever reason). The only thing she did was to look down at me. I told her to look at the shot she was looking at. I took my shot.

Yes that's the way she holds the camera. You notice the "Death Grip" on that D3000? I told her if she ever drops it we would replace it, with my D90 and I'll upgrade again. We just got the D90 back in February, so by the "looks of things" we are not ready for an upgrade yet. lol

Enjoy your D90 as it looks like she's never letting go of the D3000. That's not so bad though. I've had my D90 for years and love it.

I upgraded to a D700 and I think I use the D90 as much as I do the D700. I've never had to have the sensor cleaned on the D90 and after only a month or so, I have to have the D700's sensor cleaned already. I think the D90 also takes sharper pictures than the D700. So enjoy your D90 for years to come!!!

Once a year my NAS is given "Carte blanche". I had MANY choices this year for a camera body upgrade. I'm not going to go into which camera is better and why, I'm just going to say I choose the D90 because of it's proven track record, and in my opinion it was the only camera I was ready for. Sure I could have gone to a higher end model, but I don't think I'm ready for it yet. Still having a hard time with matching shutter speeds with higher ISO's. I'm planning on keeping the D90 for quite sometime, I'm very happy with it. If I can keep my NAS at bay a fast glass zoom will be next years complement to my D90 body.

Day 142
Got one?

Storm Chasing today in my back yard. This storm was Tornado warned. Don't know if it was the start of a Tornado or not, but something was spinning for about 6 minutes. Then it was gone. I chased it for a while, but nothing never came back. After shooting the Vortex on the way home I blew a hose on the car. So when the second round of storms came in I was stuck shooting from the house for the lightning photo. Hope to have the car fix for tomorrow night, may have a chance to do it again.

Sorry about the triple post, it was an exciting day for me.

Until this morning when I woke up I had no idea while I was out chasing these two storms, what was transpiring in Missouri about the same time.

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Joplin, Missouri.
