I hope you all don't think that's me waiting for storms LOL I might be crazy, but I'm not stupid (Be nice Pete!).

Had a small break in the storms today, Chris needed to get out for her 365 so I took her to one of our spots we been getting a lot of photos out of.

I had another bird shot, but didn't want to flood you all with birds. Trying to mix it up a little.

Rick, your new avatar is MUCH nicer than the old one. Now i won't be afraid to criticize your shots… ;-)

Rick.....much nicer Avatar. You don't look so gruesome, man! :) Nice shots, by the way. You're developing quite the eye for good composition.

I figured it was time for a change. Everyone and anyone who now knows me here understands the screen name. Decided to "Clean up my act".

As for the better shots, I'm in the middle of my two-week vacation. Amazing what I can do when I'm not rushed to get up, take a photo, post and get back to bed.

We stayed close to home the first week doing a lot of Geo Caching which gave us a lot of scenery to shoot. We have two close day trips planned next week; one to the A Zoo, and one to a Railroad Museum, who is going to have a WW II reenactment group on that day, "stay tuned", we are expecting some great shots out of both.

Day 146
Where's a train when you need one.

I wanted to put a train in this shot but was losing light fast, so here's just the Corn Dryer at early dusk.

Looks like it is a snapshot taken right from a real place and time in history.

They may have been re-enactors talking about Baseball, but the capture of drama in their eyes tells another story.

Day 149
Surrendering to the Allied Resistance

It was a long hard battle :D with heavy losses on both sides, in the end the German knew they were defected and those who survived surrendered.

We were under fire ourself's yesterday for our second trip this weekend. A round of heavy storms moved in early afternoon and we were pinned under a small pavilion for a couple of hours as we kept the cameras dry in garbage bags. Storms move out the and the "Boys" were sent out to play.

Watch my Gallery as the holiday weekend winds down, as I will be posting more from our two trips between family gatherings, before our next trip to the Zoo later this week.

Busy, Busy, Vacation half way gone already only 7 days left

Beautiful B&W Rick. I still have a belt buckle just like the one in this photo. My dad brought it back from Germany when he served there for the canadian air force.
