A tiny crab spider. To get an idea of scale... you can actually see the individual carpet fibers in the foreground.

We danced for about 5 minutes in a battle of wits while I tried to get good lighting and position for a shot. I'm still not sure who won.

I was in the pool this morning cleaning it and this dragonfly kept buzzing around me. So, I practiced my manual shooting. It was tough!

One of the many beneficial garden spiders (Yellow garden argiope; yellow garden orb-weaver; golden garden spider; golden orb-weaver) These beauties don't live long but eat garden pests and are very shy.

Thanks Laura, but I don't think that the spider match the Argiope aurantia, the spider's shape is different.

Thats because its a GRECIAN ARGIOPE SPIDER. You can tell from the fact that it's writing is greek to me!
