@jdeg is there any way to allow multiple quotes in one post? We had that option on the old forum, but I don't see it here.

@jdeg Thank you so much.

There is but it not strait forward. Click reply to the first thread, right click reply in the second and open in a new tab. Toggle BB code, copy and paste code from second in to first add comment and post.

I did it earlier this morning, but it took a little work. Hopefully a more seamless approach can be added. Thanks!

OK. I see what I did now. After editing this several times.
I was able to post 2 quotes by first clicking on the "quotes" icon which opens an empty quote box. Click on the "reply" button of the post you want quoted. Go to the next post you want quoted and click on "reply." You will get both posts bundled together like you see above. If you want separate quotes with your comments to each one then see below what to do.

What to do to get separate quotes.

I clicked on "quotes" and then clicked on the "reply" button on your post then clicked on the quotes again to close it out. Typed my text then hit 'return' a couple times to move my cursor down.

🐶🐶 Yay, regular emoticons. ❤️
Then did it all over again to get another separate quote to comment on.
I hope this helps people out. It is pretty easy once you do it a couple times.

Interesting thing to note. I went to edit this post so I could add text above the first quote. I tried to put my cursor above the first quote using my ipad track pad, but the cursor went into the quote box instead of in front or above it. When I hit "return", it moved everything down and put my cursor above the quote. It looked like it was going to move the quote down within its own space, but didn't. It was deceiving. I tried it a second time with my track pad, and my cursor went into the quote box again, but I was able to use my "up arrow" on my keyboard to move my cursor out of the quote box. Third try, I just used my up arrow and it jumped my cursor line by line up to the top above the quote.

Anyway, the double quotes are easy, and there are just a few quirky things to get used to.

You are able to "bookmark" and "tag" individual posts if you want to go back and reference them. This was something I could not do on the other platform. I had very helpful comments that I had no way to save, but can now.

You are also able to change the title of your own thread, at least I could as a "Contributor." I don't know if that us a privilege for everybody or not.

I'll have to play around with it. Thanks for letting me know how to get it to work!

Also some warning that you are approaching the limitation would be very helpful. Instead now I complete an over 240 character limit and basically get to start over to fix it.

Brent... You don't get extra points for talking about yourself... :p:p:p:p

I know this. I am trying to help all user, not get extra points. Where are the extra points anyway, I have not found them yet!! Every one still has only 113 points anyway!!:cool::cool::cool:
@jdeg - when you have time, will you please look at the point system (post count). And there was an add-on feature that gave awards behind the scenes (awards for highest poster, most comments, and other things), and kept track of points earned by the number of posts, etc. Any way to bring these back?

I saw that - but this is just a log of who does what.

There were awards won then the award would be given back and awarded to someone else. And there were ways of earning points (1/2 point for a post, etc). I don't see those types of things here.

I'd just as soon not get awards passed to me by dead folks.
