Straight out of camera with the exception of the watermark and resize.

Daffodil using a Nikon 105mm f2.8 VRI lens. M mode, f8, 1/200, ISO 900, and my customized picture control. ;)

Since you didn't do any sharpening, the detail in the fold of the one petal is remarkable!

Hey...wait a minute! Even though it isn't quite as cold there as it is here in the eastern part of the US, isn't it too cold for blossoms to open there? Is this from an indoor garden?

Thanks Hark. That was shot outdoor. The daffodils normally blooms around spring time and it was a co-incident that I happen to pass by and saw them.

The Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR lens is a very sharp lens. I sold my Tamron 90mm f2.8 since this focus much faster and the barrel does not extend.

More flowers are great to see. All of my flowers are now dead due to the several hard freezes we've had over the last few weeks. Great shots, Glenn.

Hehehe! Thanks WM. I'll try my best too post more. Once you run out of subjects to shoot, macro can keep up with your passion with photography.

These Sakura flowers starts as early March. Looking forward to their full bloom again.

Wow, what a beautiful tree! My mouth literally dropped open when I saw this image because I really dislike winter--at least what we have here which tends to be snow, ice, cold, colder, and coldest! ;) Thanks for the reminder of what is yet to come! :)

Lol! I do not envy you guys except that I do would like to take some snow landscape once in a while.

I know I took a video and it is a well visited place. It is about 15 minutes by train from where I live. I'll see if I can find it.

This is absolutely stunning, Glenn! Is this lens the 105mm micro? If so, I rented it a couple of times and loved it. Now I'm lusting for it again . . . sigh

Thanks Helene. It is the Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR lens. I can get them used on one of the local store around $740. The VR helps out when handholding for a quick snap. :)

Had a split second moment of not breathing! Incredible and beautiful at the same time. ;)

So I have a question for you, Glenn. On the left side of the photo, there is a bright light that shines upwards through part of the photo. Is that something similar like NYC has done to commemorate the Twin Towers? Is the light shining upwards for a reason--do you know? (Sorry I tend to pick your brain, but I find interest in unusual things as well as an interest in learning more about cultural differences). Thanks! :)
