Nice & colorful... you need to chop that guys head out of her shoulder!! :) There are times I want to take a picture like that but have yet gotten the nerve to ask! :)

Thanks Pat. I agree about the guy messing up th scene but it was a public place and couldn't do anything about it. The Japanese people are very accommodating and they will most likely say yes to have their picture taken.

Fortune favors the bold, Pat. Go ahead and ask! Especially if you see two dressed like that in your neck-of-the-woods!

It turns out that my current strap works just fine and is pretty comfortable. I was going to buy the carry speed pro strap but I am glad that I waited. This sling strap is made by Optech and it provides great comfort. It is exclusively distributed by this company. If you are taller and/or have a bigger belly, you can add and extend the strap to make it longer and fit your body better.

It can be attached using various points and it does not affect the use of my tripod. Straps can be easily removed using quick release connections. No metal parts to worry about in scratching your camera or LCD. Picture below is what I configured using my L bracket.

No worries Scott. I'll post these images on the other threads as well as a reference for those who are looking for a good strap.

I haven't been to a zoo with along lens, so, I have no idea what would be an ideal lens to bring. Maybe Don might provide a better insight.

Sent from my iPhone.

I am far from an expert Glenn, only having been twice. I used my 55-300 and was pleased with the range for me.

It has been forecasted that we are supposed to have some "random" snow flurries today and got nothing so far. :( I was a little excited to see our first snow this year and all we have so far is cold wind.

They still call it 7 UP where you are? I would have assumed its name to be translated and written as Japanese. Interesting! :)
