American Wigeon (New ID for me), which I learned is a dabbling duck.

Hand held non-VR lens.

#21 Swan Goose (New ID for me since I didn't know the name even though I had one when I was a kid.)

I cloned out one bird in the formation and part of one that was barely on the edge of the crop.

The D500 is on a UPS adventure to have Nikon check out the sticky AF/M switch.
Although, my credibility is now shot because I added something for them to look at that is normal for the camera. OOPS! Just never noticed it before. I know what they will think. "Moron" :shame:

For sure, the auto ISO is functioning intermittently. It just sat at one ISO no matter where I pointed the camera, then it just started working again suddenly, and then, it did the same thing again. So, something is going on.

My D300 batteries are charging right now. So, it will be adventures of the D300 for the next couple weeks or so.

Cool that you have such a great camera as a backup! :)

I like other people's dogs too. Darn it, he turned his head. She must be used to people snapping images. She saw me and said, "Say cheese."
The ISO was high because I was out in the woods in deep shade. It didn't have time to change it, and it wasn't on Auto ISO.

We had an interesting weather system come through today. Hail, wind, rain and a 40 degree drop in temps expected. The wind kicked-up from behind me and almost knocked me into my camera.

Gotta be careful when shooting in those conditions! :hurt:

you need to move to sunny California, LA had a nice 5.3 quake the other day, lol

No!!! She needs to come to Pennsylvania where we seem to be eternally stuck in winter! Our temps are still going below freezing at night. :( I'm wondering how many blossoms won't open due to effects from frost. Last year I waited and waited to photograph my church's magnolia trees only to have the buds fall off without ever opening. This year the buds are larger (2" vs. 1" last year), but it remains to be seen whether or not they will bloom.
