I'm putting up a bonus shot. I really liked this building and tried to get as symmetrically correct as I could. Too bad I forgot to check on what building this was. It looks like a library. Not sure.

Oh yea, what did I learn today? That the 24-120mm f/4 lens is pretty nice on the D7100. No wonder @Don Kuykendall was using it . That man knows stuff!

The only thing I did not like about it on the D7100 was the loss of the 6mm on the wide end that I was used to on the 18-140. The IQ especially on the D7100 is great. I think it is even better on the D7100 than it is on the D750 since it just uses the center part of the lens. I really think it is great lens for my D750 though. The focus is fast and it is sharp.

That 6mm is a lot to lose. I had my old 18-55 in the bag as well. I took a few shots with it.:)

I was never a fan of the 18-55. I thought the IQ with it was not that good. I mover up to the 18-105 and thought it looked a lot better. And then to the 18-140 I thought the IQ was about the same but the extra reach was really nice. The 24-120 is a different ball game but at the cost it really should be better and it is.

Did you read Jake's recent comment where there are a few auto buttons in Light Room (and Bridge) to choose from to help with perspective distortion? I tried them out and wound up with a better photo than I could have done by manually trying to fix the distortion. Your horizon looks to be off just a little here. I think it needs to be rotated to the left a tiny bit. Nice shot--love the building! :)

Thanks for noticing. I fixed it now, it was a tad off.

Day 18

I've been chasing this hawk for months. Always sits along the same 2 lane highway where there is no shoulder to pull over and stop.
This time I caught him/her at a place where I could pull over and take a few shots. Unfortunately the sky was very blah and had to do some sky fixin'. I don't like doing it very much, but I will do a slight alteration for a hawk shot.:encouragement:

Day 19.

Nothing today. Didn't feel like shooting, didn't feel like learning. Opened the hood on the Mack and took a shot with the onboard flash. Closed the hood, went on my way.:(
