A few shots from today.

Sandhills are all over the place around here this time of year.

Got a few landscapes as well.. Very foggy out,so it makes for an interesting shot. I'll post a few more later.

Great Captures Pete. We only have two around here and they are on the far side of a lake. Even the 200-500 has a tough time reaching them.

Great Captures Pete. We only have two around here and they are on the far side of a lake. Even the 200-500 has a tough time reaching them.

Thanks. I drove 2 hours each way to another state, to get these shots! Not knowing the birds will be around the nest or not.
I was there 45 minutes with no activity at all. I was just about to pull out of the parking lot, when I spotted her landing on a nearby branch.
Than after shooting for an hour and waiting for her to take off, with my neck straining (the bird was up high) I put the camera down a second to give my arms a rest, and THEN she flies off, giving me no chance at an Eagle In Flight shot.

I need a boat... or better yet... a friend with a boat . The far side is vertical real-estate.
