For those interested, here is a quick and dirty comparison shot done with the Rokinon @ 1.8 and the 85 1.8 D @ 1.8. No sharpening 100% crop of the center of the frame of D700.

I'll put my pride away for now and post the first one I did today even if I back focused it. I tried to cheat with post processing and was able to make it a little better, but at 1.4, the focus plane is almost paper thin.

Well I got the lens this morning. What a fast service from Amazon.ca (ordered friday 3.15pm).
Here's a 100% crop of my counter cleaning rag that was drying outside on my clothesline. D7000 @ 1.4. I'm impressed, really.
I just got the Rokinon 85 1.4 this morning and I have to admit it's really nice for the price. Manual focus but sharp even at 1.4.

We went and visited a museum in our area today.
First here is the square grand which is slowly loosing it's veneer.

One more time with this time hand held at f4, iso still 400, 1/30s. Opened with Apple Viewer, transfered to CS5 to remove exif and resized to 1000x1000 240 dpi.
