    Marcel's 366__2012

I re-worked my piano person pic today. I was not happy with the Photomatix result. I did it with only 2 shots with CS5 merge for HDR function. I think this version looks much better. D700, 24-120 VR f4 @6.3, iso 400

    Marcel's 366__2012

Day 70, March 10th 2012 A few captures from today's work day. I'm very fortunate as I have to travel by car to my customers. So I always have some kind of camera with me, usually a Nikon or two.

Just got my 300 f4 today in the mail. It was too dark for me to go outside + it was raining so I did an abstract in the house. D90, 300f4 @f4, 1/100s(hand held), iso 1600

I think the color shot could be used if processed properly. I find it way too dark and over saturated. Here's what I did in CS5: reduce saturation -32, using curve bring the mid tones lighter a tad and a little bit of hue correction. This is what I got just to give you a hint.

Day 67, March 7th: HDR with a twist. I converted my raw files to Tiff and corrected each one for contrast and color and then loaded them in Photomatix to process in HDR. It's a view I had while working at the local University this morning. Enjoy. D7000, iso 800, 35 Afs 1.8 @ f8.

Day 61, March 1st 2012 No tools left inside the piano this time. I was almost tempted to take my flash out and bounce it from behind me, but after a trial, I decided to keep the light natural. Not too bad a result for mixed light I'd dare to say. D700, 16-35 f4 VR @f5, 1/40s, iso 1600.
