December 23rd. Still icy...

Came back to Line's house tonight and the trees here are even worse than at my place this morning. There have been many electric outage caused by broken trees in the Sherbrooke. We tried to break some of the ice but it was raining so hard we gave up.

December 22nd, shots taken in the backyard to show the ice that stuck to trees. It rained almost all night last night and streets are really like a skate ring.

Too bad I didn't have my macro lens with me, but I used the 85 1.8 G for a few icy plants shots. Although not everything can be in focus, I kind of like the atmosphere for these shots. For the first one, I was literally in the cedar edge and the icy snow kept falling on me. Thank god for water...

Shopping's done but the weather here is just plain crappy. Freezing rain makes a nice skate ring or mall's parkings. It's so grey that even without touching saturation there is just black and white. So, again I played with the analog filters of Nik tools. D700, 55 1.2 @ f2.

December 21st, I got a picture of Line's Xmas tree. D700, 35mm Ais f2 @f2, HDR with photomatix, iso around 1000. Now I've got to go and shop for food and last minutes gifts... I haven't convinced myself to the Sony Nex-6 yet...

Took this shot coming back from my meeting tonight and practiced a bit with Nik's analog filters Line's house, D700 35 AI f2, iso 2000.

Don, it's way too nice with snow here. I'd miss it and would get bored with nice weather. I did a few more shots outside when it got a little warmer. ​

So I cheat, took this one from inside the house through the window. D7000 300 AF-S F4 It's still COLD! -26 C

December 17th, this is just to justify the absence of landscape picture this morning. That's a MINUS sign in front of the 29.3...This is very close to the same temp in F.
