Dunno about you, but Sam's and/or Walmart BUTCHER prints around here, and Walgreen's isn't much better for shots over 4x6. Costco has decent print services, or an online merchant like Nations or MPIX would be my recommendation. I personally use Nations and love what I get, especially for the...

Here's my most recent activity with the Raynox 250 on the 70-300mm VR. ;) This little lass is about 1/3 the size of my pinky nail. DEFINITELY hard to spot, much less get in focus, but I finally hit the shot I wanted! That pattern under her feet is from the styrofoam cup she was standing on. ;)

Adventures in light painting in class this week. This was a simulated product shoot, completely dark room with nothing but an up close penlight then a pass behind with a red light wand.

Have any of you ever used a "hand held" umbrella/flash set up for roving portraits? With an assistant (my son or wife usually) and sometimes even 1-handed with the camera on a tripod, it seems like it would be easier than moving a stand all over creation. I've seen some on a bit of a pole...

Unwilling model. I was holding an umbrella with my speedlight attached in one hand, and one-handing the Beast in the other, and snuck up on my boy to test the shoot-through lighting. His expression tells how pleased he was... LOL
