    Lowepro bags from Ebay????

My Flipside 400 AW arrived today and if I had to bet money I'd say it's a good fake BUT it does still feel like a good quality bag with what looks like good stitching, solid buckles and straps. Mine also came in a plastic bag with Lowepro all over it and Lowepro tags. The main noticeable...

    Tamron 70-300 SP lens test...

I have found with this lens that it sharpest from f/8 to f/11 and I tended to shoot nearer to 250/275mm asit gets softer at 300mm, my copy does anyway. This is probably my best shot with this lens, I haven't looked at the exif yet before posting so it could prove what I've just written wrong!

    Lowepro bags from Ebay????

I've been looking online at Lowepro bags, specifically the Flipside 200, 300 and 400 bags. I don't know for sure which one I want for sure as no bricks and mortar shops near me sell them (have they been discontinued?) so I can't look at one directly. In any case I can buy them from Amazon.co.uk...

Do better lenses result in better photographs?

I did find something similar to this when I used both my Tamron 70-300mm VC and Nikkor 55mm 2.8 macro lens to photograph the same fledgling sparrow. In this case those I would say the 55mm is probably the better lens, it's certainly much sharper but I did have to manual focus with it and heavily...

Nikon D500 Review vs D7200, D5 and Canon 7D MkII

Seems to outperform it's Canon rival comfortably, great autofocus results and very good IQ. It doesn't seem to be all that much ahead of the D7200 noise wise at higher Iso's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a6hWuPd74U

Nikon 200-500/5.6 VR Lens....... post your photos!

I'm thinking this lens might do a good enough job on butterflies etc. to stop me wanting to buy a longer macro lens for a while at least. If I want to do proper macro on things that don't want to fly off I still have my 55mm 2.8. Here are a few shots of my spaniel Jasper taken on the beautiful...

    Post your Birds in Flight

The sand martins were too fast for me today, this was the nearest I got to a reasonable flight shot of one but only managed to focus on it because it was far away, hence the massive crop.

    Post your favorite April shot

I've wanted to get a picture of a grouse for a long time but up until now have only managed blurry shots of their rear ends as they fly off over a hill, so I was pleased to get this one.

    Last Night's Attitude Readjustment Session

Sounds like an awesome trip. Last camping trip I went on was on holiday in NSW Australia, unfortunately there was no prospect of having a fire to enjoy but listening to a chorus of frogs down my the pond and making friends with a skink kept me happy. Midnight walk with a head torch and my...
