This Black Browed Albatross was also seen on the whale watching trip and is one of my personal favourites from the trip.

We went on a Whale watching trip from Sydney. We saw quite a few Humpbacks but unfortunately the two we followed for the most part were doing their best to stay away from the boat. We did see two males in the distance putting on an incredible display, with both fully leaping from the water and...

Not 100% sure what type of Skink this is, possibly an Eastern Water Skink. After a very patient approach including a bare foot walk across a freezing stream I was able to get to within a foot of this guy, was actually one of my favourite moments of my holiday. Whilst everyone else was off on a...

    Post your Moths & Butterflies

For some reason I always struggle to get sharp shots of butterflies with my 70-300 Tammy, they generally look softer than an equivalent shot of a bird and I don't know why. Perhaps its just harder to get precise focus on them? In any case this is a rare shot that I am happy with. A Monarch I...

Sydney Opera House, tried to get something a little different, was on a moving ferry so didn't have a chance to try different settings etc. but I think this works.

I really wish I could have shot these differently but a moving ferry and low light left me no choice other than wide aperture and very high ISO. I still like the light and feels of these even if they are grain and not even remotely sharp.

Just back from a 3 week holiday in Australia and New Zealand and I'm fighting the jet lag by going through some of my pictures. This is my favourite of the first few I've looked at, mostly because it didn't look like much on the LCD screen but came to life with a bit of processing. A Sulphur...
