#4 definitely for me.
I like the pose in #2 and might try a different crop. Eye contact in #4 is great, though and the far away gaze in #5 is nice, as well. LOL. I dunno'@Woodyg3 Just curious have you decided what one is your favourite yet?

Mallards mating in fall? I checked with my biologist bird expert friend and he said this is actually not unusual. The way ducks brains are wired and the fact that the photoperiod is about the same now is spring causes them to act as if it really is spring. Anyway, in this series of pics we see the head bob from the male to the waiting female, the act, and the ritualistic behavior after.

I like the first one best.Migratory ducks, like this handsome Gadwall drake, are back in town as the autumn leaves provide colorful reflections in the water. I took these shots this morning in a little pond near our house. If you have a favorite of the three different backgrounds, lemme' know
