Are these cropped? How far away you caught the images?By now all of the Osprey have normally left Colorado and headed south. This juvenile is still in town, and his dad is still around, too. He was late fledging. I watched him try to dive and catch a fish a few times, and he missed each time. This is a skill he needs to learn before migrating south. I hope he makes it okay. A beautiful bird, and I always love the orange eyes of the juveniles.

Great shot Woody! One Snowy Egret wanted the pond all to itself, and chased the other around until it left. Comical to watch. I think the geese were even watching.View attachment 396823
Beautiful shots! We had 2 young mallards coming to our bird feeder for 4 years and they were inseparable until the 4th year. The 4th year a young lady joined them and they both courted her, by the end of the year they weren't best buddies anymore.Fall Reflections Wood Duck. Only two males at this pond, but they seem to be good amigos.

Both beautiful but my favorite is the first one! Well done!Takeoff! (Note the bits of feather scattered about in the air, this bird had just finished preening before takeoff)View attachment 397156View attachment 397157
