Seems to be our normal for January...wet, wet, wet
Taken with my P&S...won't take my Nikon out in this weather

The 2 creek crossings to the north, still driveable with care

Where I walk the dog & one of my fave photo spots. This bit of road too risky to try driving thru these days. Floods a couple of years back changed the course of the creek and now it rages thru at the far end of this causeway.

In a couple of days, when the rain has stopped, I'll be back at these falls as they run for a while after rain.

Local river crossing. No-one in their right mind would drive thru there even tho it's not very deep

Went across the coast to Hastings Point. It was a beautiful day. I particularly wanted to find some Crested Terns

Took a heap of shots at the beach on Saturday. Felt like the first clear day since Christmas. We seem to have had so many overcast, showery days lately :(

From Brunswick Heads..... on a sunny day the water has to be seen to be believed. Some of these are 5 shot HDR's so the colour is quite enhanced but not all of them.

So.....thanks to Cyclone Marcia and the tropical monsoon, both of whom have wandered further south than is normal, it is wet, wet, wet

The crap really hits the fan when the river level gets over the 6m level. Residents on the river have moved all their motor vehicles, caravans etc to higher ground today & yesterday

Watched 3 cars go thru here this morning. The water has washed the road out...maybe 18 inches deep. OK by 4x4 but the 2WD sedan that went thru almost left his car behind. Stupid really, but no-one wants to turn around and go the alternative route that is 4 times as long. The council came and closed the road shortly after.
