I've taken to going out at the end of the day and sitting quietly in the wilderness of my backyard with my camera. Today I had a really good hour watching
The little Thornbills (tiny birds abt 10cm long) bathing in the new fryingpan birdbath
A female Leaden Flycatcher
A baby Scrub Turkey....I thought it was a quail at first

He is soooooo cute!! We have at least 2 Scrub Turkey mound nests in our property. Not sure which one he came from
and then to top it all off, our resident wallaby came up the hill and didn't see me hiding behind a tree, so he was quite close. I didn't get a clear shot but not bad as he's VERY timid
When I was out and about this morning I spotted a bird's nest as well. An Olive Backed Oriole. So it's been a great day. Simple things........
