It was a waste of time today! They had a paper on the door saying they would be closed today. I don't know why they are closed today, but they are! Lol :(

I will try again on another day. Lol :)

Ok I'm going to share some info that I haven't mentioned. After I get these license and truck stuff taken care of, there is something else that I need to do if I can get past the fear.
I need to get oral surgery to remove all my teeth, including my wisdom teeth. My Medicaid should cover it. Then dentures will be the final thing needed. But between fears of the dentist and feeling like I am being torchered with that water going down my throat while I am laid too far back.

Anyway, this is something I need to find my courage and have done. Embarrassing but there it is.:(

I just hope they would put me under, that would be a big relief.

I have to admit I would really love to have teeth, even dentures would be a blessing. There are things I love to eat, that I can't until I get dentures.

When I have something tough to do, I try to visualize how nice it will be to have it done and behind me. Usually things aren't as hard as we think. I hadn't been to the dentist for about 30 years, finally worked through the fear and got it all done. About 6-8 visits and $5000 dollars later, good to go. All in all nothing compared to the Denge fever, broken arm and 3 kidney stones I've had since!

Don't fret too much, you'll be fine and happy it's done. Plus you'll have a new grin!

I will try to think the way you discribed, though it won't be easy for me.:(

Today was sorta a blah day that slipped by almost without notice. But I did think about having dentures quite a bit, wondering what that will be like. I have an add for a dentist that does dentures with implanted snaps( I think ) that holds them in, that I have been thinking about quite a bit lately. That is what I think might be the best way for me to go.

But I think I better get my license renewed, truck taxes and tags done first. I can't really say why, except that maybe it is an excuse to put it off for a bit. Or maybe I don't want to worry on top of dealing with my mouth hurting from surgery. Besides I better figure out things I can eat after the surgery, or more likely to drink only. I could check on seeing if I can get ensure prescribed by my doctor, so my Medicaid will pay for it. I should check on that anyway to improve my vitamin intake for in-between meals.

Anyway, that's what has been on my mind today.lol :)

If you do have full anesthesia (I would), they will probably tell you to come in on an empty stomach. VERY important. It will be several hours before you will be able to keep anything down, too. (BTDT....)

What is BTDT?

Hope you can get to the DMV early this morning and get your license renewed. That will put one thing behind you. Sometimes that is the only way to move forward Bill is to find the closest thing and get it behind you. At least that is what I have to do. Besides when it comes down to it we can only really do one thing at a time.

I just got back from the DMV.lol :)
Well here is the update! I went early, first in line even and waited just over an hour. Then I sit for my photo, and then I had to sign a pad twice. When I figured I lucked out and wouldn't need to do the eye test, she directed me to move over to do the eye test.I couldn't hardly make out some of the letters, but barely managed and named 3 signs before she said hey you don't need to do the eye test. It turns out my license was still good til 2018, and I only needed a change of address! Then she asked if I knew I could renew my license on line! Damn!

So I am guessing that the reason I couldn't renew on line was because it was too soon! All of the stress, worrying, and trips to the DMV were in all likelihood for nothing!lol :(

Well I am going to relax now, since I was up all night to go to the DMV at 7:00 am! Lol

isn't that the way it often works. We work ourselves up anticipating the worst over the little things and turn them into big things. Glad you are done until 2018... Now you have a couple years to save for an eye exam and glasses. God Bless Bill, now just rest a bit.
