Thanks buddy! :)

isn't that the way it often works. We work ourselves up anticipating the worst over the little things and turn them into big things. Glad you are done until 2018... Now you have a couple years to save for an eye exam and glasses. God Bless Bill, now just rest a bit.

Things always work out, the way they do, for a reason. Maybe God wanted you to go to the DMV and tackle that "fear" to show you that it wasn't a big deal...........which you did by the way! Congrats!

Yes, your right buddy. It was maybe something I was meant to do. Maybe it was to talk to those I talked to even.:)
I am open minded.:)

Great news!

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I have drug my butt over every hurdle life has presented so there is no reason to think I can't get over the next one! It helps give me confidence that I can do it, whatever it is.

Best of luck!

Well I managed to get $200.00 towards my truck taxes, though I didn't get any takers on my stuff I was selling here. I figure another $200.00 and I should have enough to do all the stuff needed to keep my truck legal. I just have to get it before August. I think I will see if I can repost my 24mm lens for sale.

Well yesterday I tried to follow my phycologist's advice, to try to be more open to making friends by trying a site not related to photography. It was a dating site, but you can select what you are looking for like friends. Well right after joining and putting a photo up, I started getting several messages from different women. It felt like a feeding frenzy, with me as the bait. The feeling and words from several of them were saturated in desperation in my opinion. It scared the hell out of me! What a shock, and it seemed to me that nothing could be believed, then I finally got my profile updated to looking for friends. I am not sure if anything of value can be got from joining the site, and it made me wonder if most dating sites are this bad, or is it because this one is free?

Anyway, I think my next step is to try to be more out going here locally. But this is much much harder for me, and so I might look for local photography groups on line first. I may fail in this meeting people in person at first. But all of this is in my efforts to fight my mental issues, so I will try not to just give up.:)

Try and hang with people who share your interests Bill. Photography clubs, wood carving clubs, etc. Many churches have groups for unattached members and church socials in general are good places to start to mingle. If you are in a group that shares your enthusiasms you will possibly not feel so awkward. Do walkabouts with your camera and make an effort to chat a minute with folks you might encounter. On my walkabouts I seldom encounter anyone but will speak with anyone who speaks to me first.

I will try, but this is very very hard for me. My phycologist also suggested that I try and go to the local soup kitchen to eat sometime, to be around people that way. But all of this face to face socialising might be too hard for me.:(

Bill, IMO, take your time. You've been thru a lot in a short period, and are still trying to clear hurdles with the move. So I don't think it's important to tackle every fear at once. Just keep moving forward, little by little. Have you spoken much with your neighbors? Maybe I missed what you said about this. Anyway, the world ain't going anywhere, it will still be here tomorrow, go at your own pace........no matter what that pace may be.
You can't go wrong with the "Indiana" fellas giving you advice LOL.

Have you thought about visiting a small local church? I'm not religious person, but it might be a good idea for someone who has a hard time with meeting new people and socializing.
Just a thought!

This would be too hard for me right now. Maybe after getting use to group counciling someday.:)
