I was thinking tonight how lucky I am to have the cameras, lenses and gear I have right now. For my type of photography preferences I may not have the best of the best, but I have a very very good setup that I am very pleased with. It is all thanks to my wife, and I often think about her when I am using these great cameras, lenses, and all the gear that goes with. :)
My sweet wife loved my photos and was my biggest fan. I hope when she looks down at me from heaven that she will be pleased with my efforts to follow her wishes for me.:)

Well I think I figured lightroom out so I can add photos without leaving the app! This aught to speed things up once I get better at it!:)

Well it looks like the weather is going to continue to be wet for the rest of the week. So I will find other things to do besides photography, unless I see a good shot in-between showers or storms!lol ;)

I still have my largest spider print to move over here, but I want a dry day before doing it. A drop of water can ruin it, and it was expensive with the backing too.

I am loving my 14-24mm lens so far, and lightroom has been working awesome in post processing! But it is very slow to start up, and I haven't figured out how to add another photo to process from inside that app. Any suggestions welcome!:)

Here is another shot of the church, though I'm not sure I am satisfied with it as is.

Looks like a nice little church Bill.

Maybe you could try taking a few steps to your left and try to take a shot so that the sign doesn't block the front steps. Just a suggestion not a criticism :)

PS The shots of my D800e are shot strait jpg and then sized. My D700 was still set for photographing my apartment for my deposit!lol :D

Well depending on how you look at it I sorta lucked out. The tomb raider game I bought a while back for the Wii is close to the same as the original tomb raised game I really liked years ago! :)
So anyway I'm going to think of it as a good thing even though I have the original tomb raider PlayStation game!lol :D I like the Wii and my Xbox 360 better than the PlayStation 2 anyway!lol ;)

The scariest moment I ever remember in a video game was taking Lara Croft into a hidden garden, then suddenly seeing a Tyrannosaurus Rex emerge out of the gloom.

Lol Yep I remember that I think! Lol Things are prone to come out to eat you in this game! Lol I haven't reached that point in the game this time around yet, and I am getting adapted to the Wii controllers still. The Wii version has a few changes in the way the game works, but so far they are good changes.:)

For the last few days I haven't done much in moving or settling in. Putting stuff away is hard when you don't have a idea where to put some things. So I am going to take my time doing it, even if it delays getting my studio set up. Besides I have no plans for using the studio yet anyway.:)

I have decided I won't be trying to earn extra money, since I would likely lose the state's help. I really can't lose my Medicaid especially, as I need it so bad. But I still might try to take some portraits for friends, if they will let me!lol :)

One of the things I haven't figured out where to put it, is my Foredom dremel. It is a pro-quality rotory tool I bought to carve and create with, and never used much at all. But I want to set it up somewhere, so that I can use it when I am feeling creative and have some horn to carve on. I gave away to family all the carvings I did when I was younger and had a homemade dremel and buffer.:)
I may try to set it up here in the living room, if I can figure out how to mount it to an end table. Then I could use it as I felt like it, without taking up any time getting it ready.:)

Well I will figure something out eventually. Lol :)

Well I just got some good news! Instead of doing a change of address for my driver's license now and doing a renewal in August, I can renew my license upto six months early avoiding the extra cost of an address change! Also I might be able to renew my license on line, saving the hassle of going to the DMV and waiting to being called up!lol :) To top it off, it saves me from doing it and my truck tags and taxes all in the same month!:D

Well here is hoping that I can do my license renewal on line smoothly, without any issues making me have to go to the DMV! :D

Rocker woodworking makes a shaft that clips unto a table or workbench and will hold your Foredom and make it readily accessible. It comes with an accessory that can hold a vaccum hose to it also. We keep several around our shop. If I think of it I will post a photo of it tomorrow.

Mine has a clamp, but the lip of the end table isn't deep enough to clamp down securely. :(

PS I really appreciate your help @RON buddy! A rotory tool has been very handy, and I really do want to figure out how to mount it to my current end table!:)

Tonight is a bit harder for me, as I am out of my pain meds until tomorrow sometime. But I have generic tylenol, so I am not doing completely without pain reduction. I do have to take 4 pills at a time to be of help, and that is not the best way to go for my liver. But my main pain meds keeps my Tylenol levels lower, and I will be back on those tomorrow, which will be a good thing.:)

Hey @RON I have bad news. I broke the clamp, so there is nothing I can do for awhile. Pot metal clamps suck. Anyway I will be patient, and buy a new mount later when I can afford to spend money on it.

But thank you buddy for trying to help.:)

Post a picture of your end table and we will help you figure it out.

Heroes the device i was talking about Bill. It is all steel except for the round hose homer and of course could be painted any color. We use them in the shop to hod sander cords and dust collection hoses out of the way and also to hang our boredom tool.IMG_0420 - Version 2.jpg

A mini vacuum would be great, especially if you could rig a relay to have it turn on whenever the tool turned on.
