Oh, dear. We had a bad fire last year . . . It got within 15 miles of me . . . I could see the flames, but didn't have to evacuate as it was headed away.

Yes very scary - 15 miles is a lifetime away try 500 yards 3 years ago at our house

Next day mopping up the hot spots. What saved us was the wind changed direction - we were already to evacuate us being the last cause I am a stubborn SOB.

I like this half dead tree, just something about it?

not much of a view over the wine country in the hot air balloon today, smoke everywhere.

a dragonfly and a turtle at the local duck pond.

I watched this duck take off and land over and over again, so I got ready for a shot, thought I had done ok until I added the pic to the PC, look at the fishing line trailing behind it, no wonder the duck couldn't take off, poor thing.

after seeing Rick M's "ghost " photo I had to try it, need to play with it more, it looks like Mr Ram has found a Mrs Ram, these are the best shots of the fish so far, still not perfect but getting closer, my wife has a new job, someone found these and we tried to get our mother cat to feed them, but to no avail, so now it's the old fashion way.
