What is this strange "sun" thing that you are referring to?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

We have now had 2 days of "Sun" - today was brilliant, blue skys.. only a few white puffy clouds.. even hit 44 Deg F. Dont worry though, global warming ends this weekend. Snow Saturday and a high of 27 on Sunday!

I played with some of the settings "In Camera" for modification and the following are in camera
adjustments. I was just trying to learn more abot all of the camera options.
Left is a Sketch Mode and right is selective color with only the light color appearing.

Just don't go outside and forget to put on sunblock during that heatwave.

Day 46 - Feb 15, 2013

Today was an unusual day.. I had an idea for todays pic.. it was at home tonight so I almost did noty take my camera cuz I knew I was not gonna get out at lunch. On my way out, I hesitated, then grabbed it anyway, boy was I glad I did.

I was at my desk when Kelley, who works for me came by and said "Grab your camera and come outside! They is a huge bird on Dan's truck! It might be an owl" Grabbed the bag, changed to the 200 and headed outside. There were at least 8 people milling around with cell phones and this is what they were looking at.

I took a bunch of shots like above from different angles etc. Once everyone
was pretty well done, I moved in closer... He was not startled at all.

I finally moved across the lot and was only a couple parking spots down

I went back into work very pleased with my captures and hoping that
I would get some decent ones when I imported to LR.

I think I did, at least I am pleased... It is a Red-Tail Hawk.

Great shots of the Red Tailed Hawk! Love the talons!! I'm jealous. Did he scratch the truck?

The closest I ever got was the
Red Shouldered Hawk next to the traffic signal.

Thank you Marilynne.. I appreciate your comments, you know I consider you the bird expert and I mean that in a very positive way. I was surprised too.. I zoomed in to the talons not knowing how it would turn it, the clarity there impressed me when I got home.

You know, it was not my truck and I never looked after to see if it was scratched... I was so lucky tgo have gotten so close!

Thanks Pat, but I'm not anywhere near expert in birding. I just happen to have a great book for FL birds.
