Day 025 sneak peek

Five computers in the house and my wife always uses the fastest one for her graduate school stuff... Hmph...

Anyway, I'll probably process the photo in the morning. I don't see her getting off the computer anytime soon. Plus she's on and off the phone with the daughter who went on a skiing trip and one friend who was meeting them at the resort flipped her car and totaled it. No ambulance was called, "some lady" who stopped and looked at her said she was fine. Guess some cop took her to a gas station or rest area or something to wait for my daughter to pick her up.

Now the friend has a headache, and my wife, the ER nurse head boss hancho lady at a level one trauma hospital, is telling my daughter they need to get her to a hospital. But they're still an hour away from her in a snow storm.

Just because your body is fine doesn't mean your brain didn't bounce around in your noggin and get all bruised up! Stupid stupid stupid police!!! If they weren't 9 hours away, I'd be on the way up there! Agggh!!!

Sounds like everyone, 'cept that car, is going to be ok. We'll find out though. Never have trusted backwood hospitals.

I was asleep, now I'm not, so here's yesterday's picture in all it's glory. Might even go figure out today's picture since I'm wide awake.

Day 026

Today, I have two photos. The first one is an HDR image of my neighbors. I don't necessarily like the way this came out, and no amount of adjusting seems to satisfy me, but not bad for a first try. It's probably in my composition...

The second photo I absolutely love!! Not because of the way the photo came out, but because I scored $189 worth of bottles for free when I took our recyclables down to the recycle place! :pirate:

Day 027: The barn

This morning it's cold out.
Tonight, an ice storm.
Tomorrow morning, fun drive to work.
Tomorrow afternoon, HEAT WAVE! 45 degrees Fahrenheit!! Time to open the pool!

Then that weather continues east and hits us in upstate NY. Thanks for the weather warning. :)

Day 028: More winery work...

The only thing about getting used wine bottles, is getting the labels off. I got through about 7 labels and then sliced my finger. That was no fun... I wish these had the water soluble glue on the labels, that'd be so much easier. I thought I had a heat gun, but I can't find it. Maybe I was mistaken. Maybe it's lost in the barn since I'm in the middle of redoing the insides. I thought I saw it the other day, but maybe I was at work when I saw a heat gun. Oh well.

Addendum: The labels come right off after 15 minutes in the oven at 225! All 97 bottles are now naked and ready for a bath!

Starting to feel a little better, so I decided to take more than a half a second to set a shot up.

One Candle and one 40mm eye piece. I do believe if you add one more lens to the mix, it'd flip the picture right side up. I'm guessing that'd be the giant lens at the front of the telescope. :watermelon:

Well...

The truck died today. Needs a new fuel pump, so expect lots of weird auto pictures in the coming week. I'm going to have to drop the fuel tank to replace the pump.

So with the help of my cell phone, in the dark, here it is on the trailer.

The funny thing is, when we got it half way off the trailer, we heard the pump start, I hopped in and it started right up!
