The day I was shooting in Hollywood - there are these guys that dress up in character like the Hulk or Michael Jackson (and get people to pay money to have their pic shot with them) and the dude that dressed like the hulk jabbered at me for 20 minutes about how they are trying to make a living and I shouldn't shoot them. I told him I was NOT interested in shooting people in costumes, I shoot real people who show their actual faces. He wouldn't buy it and kept jabbering but I ignored him and just kept doing my thing. He finally got bored and left
I'll check out carrying a card with actual legal status of shooting on public property - I like that idea.
