Today I went off to the local used bookstore to hang out and found two very nice "coffee tab;e" books to add to the new place as a bonus. "Fast Forward - Growing Up In the Shadow of Hollywood (1997)" and "Classic Glamour Photography - Techniques of Top Glamour Photographers (1983)"

That is pretty cool Rick...our local used book store closed not long ago. I bet that glamour book is interesting...any pics of cameras and lenses in it?

They show a Nikon F3, Hasselblad, motor drives and a variety of light meters.

Love those used book stores. A lot of wasted time has been spent in used and new book stores.

Off on my morning hike today...

First a drive down a very SoCal scene



Then up into the hills



Where I first met a deer frolicking



And then a little bird just relaxing



Now that's what I call a great start to the day!

Off to the Zoo

Had to sneak around to the back fence behind the trees to get the baby. Today was the first day her mom was letting her try to climb the fence alone.

Yeah no kidding! I find myself really trying hard to keep my pictures looking good to compete with all of you guys. There are just some styles and shots that I just have to bow down to. My little compact can only dream of taking
such grand photos. LOL

Back on my Hollywood Hills (Griffith Park) hike. Left early so got very warm early morning light to change it up.

What to shoot tomorrow... hmmmm, what to shoot?????

Random people (street scenes)? Fern Dell? Forecast is sunny and 67 degrees.... Thinking, thinking.....

Didn't they just find a head and other body parts right by the Hollywood sign today??? And you were there shooting pictures?
