My first reaction when I saw this was, "Oh my gosh, how pretty." I was going post that when I remembered that some people don't like the word pretty. May I say, "My gosh, how pretty - in a good way."

I'd say that you made a great turn of phrase!

Besides, it DO look purty!

Helene, Great shot. I love the gates to the house; it is like something you would see in the secret garden. Love the sharpness and how much you have captured the whole setting. I love it.

Yesterday's photo was also HDR. Could you tell?

I thought it was, but the shot/composition kept my attention on the subject and not thoughts of processing. Some of my HDR shots are good, but the viewer immediately notices "enhancement". Your "Gate" shot didn't do that to me.

"My New Toy"

I have always wanted a medium format camera. Pre-digital years, they were too expensive. Now, they're affordable. And, yes, it's film. I just finished shooting a couple rolls of 120 and getting ready to mail them off. I will never give up digital, but sometimes, the feel and pace of film is really rewarding. The camera is totally manual -- not a battery anywhere, so I really have to focus on the settings. A good refresher!

Oh my gosh! That little girl and her puppy are adorable!
Where are you sending your 120 film? I have some 620 film, and don't really know a good place to send it.
