More than the D2X, it was the 24 mm lens at f/1.4 that really cut back on the noise. The lens and camera combination affects noise as well as the camera settings. This is just incredible glass, and yes, I rented it while my other lens is getting repaired.

I found this little gem of a lens in my mom's camera bag -- Albinar 20mm f/2.8 macro. It's manual focus but I can get about 4-6 in from the subject. Nice little surprise toy!

Yep. My mom had (and now I have) a Nikon F film camera. As a matter of fact, I just finished shooting a roll of film with it while I was playing with the lenses. She has a nice collection, although some do not work on the digital bodies.Tell me Helene, was this lens a Nikon mount already?
