Wow, Helene, another great photo. 6 degrees is even a little cold for Maryland, but that's what we have been getting this year, it's all been very strange.
Rick, my husband grew up in IL and we have visited several times in the past few years and you are very correct, the drives are so boring through farmland after farmland. And that's exactly how my husband explained Illinois to me before I went there. " We have cornfields and more cornfields." Although with all the flat land you must have some good sunsets, and maybe you could get a good shot of a windmill farm? I saw a few of those last time I was out there.

Sometimes you just have to bag the photo and go with a moment or a blessing. Absolutely nothing good or special about this photo, which I took from the front seat of my truck tonight, but what made the difference to me was what I felt.

This is a "count your blessings" photo for me and I truly do have many. For those of you battling this frigid weather, hang on, this "nice stuff" is coming your way!

Helene I wished it was 25 degrees but I do believe warmer weather is in order here. If you get the chance pass it here please. As for nothing special of a picture it is special to you and that is all that matters.

It seemed my focus for the past 2 days was on misery . . . hauling water to the geese, the horses, truck not wanting to start, broken cable to the Dish (God forbid I should be without TV), rotating dogs in and out of the house and dealing with all of this with an upper respiratory infection. So when I got in the truck yesterday to do one more chore and saw the temperature, it was as if all the bad stuff just washed away. My mother used to always say to me through bad times, "this too shall pass". I guess she was just reminding me.

Very nice saying your mother has there, Helene, and she is so right. All things will pass in due time.

Oh Helene
I absolutely love this picture. The cloud formation sure does look like the incoming of something from afar. Great shot, I can not wait to see what you have for us tomorrow. :)

"Fellow Travelers"

Today was a traveling, "pick-up" day . . . pick up meds, pick-up firewood, etc. Took this with a little Canon Powershot because it's the only thing I could hold with one hand and keep my other on the steering wheel. Yes, I'm following in Rick's footsteps . . .shooting while driving! LOL

Nice dog Helene. I just love the expression on it's face. Was a reward or treat involved by any chance?
