Helene, your doggies are absolutely gorgeous. I love looking at pet pictures they make me all warm and fuzzy inside. They look like they enjoy car rides and are used to being photographed, great shot.

"Oranges"

I've been eating a lot of oranges so I thought it was fitting to use them as subjects.
Wanted to play around with Nikon's CLS and some gels. Used 2 SB-900's, one gelled red with a snoot, one with a grid, and a vivitar (sb-600 equivalent) gelled blue with a gobo.
Used the SU-800 to adjust EV of each individual flash.

Beautiful! Even with the snow, the golden yellow glow of the mountains in the back give it a warm feel. (Still jealous of your backyard) I want to just run toward the glow in hopes of warmer weather.... or alien abduction.

"Elephant by Candlelight"

One of the things I decided when I started on this project was to become intimately familiar with ALL my photography equipment and to push myself out of my comfort zone.

This is a little, pewter elephant . . .only available light was two candles. I knew I would be testing the noise factor on this.

exif data: D2X, 640 iso, 85mm, f/1.8 at 1/13, with tripod and remote cable. PP in LR and Define 2.0

"High in the Sky"

Meggie stalking the flight of a frisbee! Not exactly easy to throw a frisbee and then aim and focus the camera . . . especially when she is so dang "cheetah" fast!

exif data: D200, iso 100, 70-300 3.5-4 VR II at 112mm, f/9 at 1/400 PP Lightroom with Color Efex pro soft focus at 50% and post crop vignette

Nicely done, Helene. Love the lighting, even if it is by candle light. :) Did you know that it's good luck when you have an elephant figure with it's trunk pointed up like that? :) It's true.
