Day 59
Big Bang #1 (HDR)
Did this in HDR to bring out the rust in the shot.

Shot in RAW and in manual mode thanks to Fotojack and the Sunny 16 rule. Hand held D90 3 shot auto bracket +/- 2.0.

EXIF on original shot was a little overexposed had to step -0.3.

Day 60
NO PETS!

Had other plans for a shot today but could not pass this one up. Not the best, there is a window right above the shot that was screaming in sunlight with the blind close.

This is Midnight (Black and Mom) and Sunglasses (Daughter Top) on our brand new no pets couch, well so much for that idea. Guess you know who really rules the house.

What a great capture of the kitties, Rick! They're too funny!

Good job on the HDR of the 'big bang", and I love the pic of Sybil . . . excellent detail!

You are really "cookin'"

Glad you think I'm cookin. I feel like I'm cooking Prime Rib on a matchstick. What helps is I got a good one off this week. I printed out my Transportation HDR photo. It now hangs on my wall over my computer. Every time I feel the words Epic Failure coming on now all I have to do is look up and tell myself, see you can do it, just give yourself time. The weather is going to break soon and that is going to help lot. Some days I take a photo just to take a photo, wish I had more time (daylight time) for photography.

In my opinion, the only way you can "fail" is by not doing. You did an absolutely superb job on the train! I love it! Composition, color, sharpness, pp, EVERYHING "clicked" on this one. Definitely one to be proud of!

Railroad photography and my peers are one of the reasons I'm here. We all have our strong subjects, if I had to list mine it would be Railroads, Lightning, and Night Photography. I promised myself I would not load up my photos on this site with them in hopes to expand my unknown talent. Until the weather breaks (or we get a good thunderstorm) my night photography has taken a back seat with the new camera. I find it so much different than the old one and have to relearn some of my settings in manual that use to come natural to me. There is also a tripod issue I'm trying to address. I'm little over budget on camera upgrades, however I'm getting a good quarterly bonus for work that should take care of all that. Only if I quit looking at a fast glass zoom lens, then I'll be back in the hole. Maybe next year on the fast glass spent way too much as it is and not sure I really need / want one yet.

Day 62
Time - Stopwatch

Now that your done groaning, I like to thank whoever issued this weekly challenge, this is going to be fun for me. I might use one of the photos I'm going to post here for the next week, or I might play my ace in the hole for the grand finale, guess your going to have to wait and see till Wednesday night when I post my entry. Be curious to see who leaches off of me, Just kidding, if you see an idea go for it, It does not matter if I win or lose, as long as I can play the game.
