Day 41
Sunset over Rochelle

While Chris was nice and warm shooting her 365 in the house. I went outside of town in 4^ weather to shot a sunset. Clouds were just a little too late coming in was hoping to have more of a broken sky. Another test photo that found it's way into my 365. No HDR here and very little photoshop. Did look at it in HDR, but looks too over the top for my taste.

f/11 (down two stops from auto setting of f/14)
1/500
ISO 200

Photoshop
Brightness down -10
Contrast Up +10
Crop

Tea for Cora

I don't know who Cora is, but Ray is selling a Tea set and her picture. Had four photo's to choose from today. Not an easy choice. Wish I could post all four.

Day 44
Where Eagles Fly

To me it's the subject of this photo more than what this photo is lacking. Not one of my better shots. This is the second time we have gone out and photograph these guys. It a real rush watching them and photographing them. They are in a real hard spot to shot. It's quite a challenge walking in snow and trying to negotiate an icy a riverbank just to get close enough to get a good photo. Not to mention that the lighting is very strange here, shooting almost into the sun and over a river, the light is reflecting all over. May try one more time in late afternoon early evening in the coming weeks before all four Eagles (yes we have four here) leave to head back up north sometime in March.

I agree, although technically not perfect, its a fantastic shot! Just to be able to capture it mid flight is something to be proud of. oh and also look at the talons on that thing...yeesh! lol.

That's amazing, it's great that you are able to capture, let alone see something like this. This is not something you see around here.

Day 46
01 Weekly Challenge Sept. 15-22 Changing Seasons (revisited)

Maybe pushing the changing seasons on this one but things are melting, and temp are above 32^ for the next 10 days. If you look real hard in places around town you can see green grass, YEAH!

Day 48
03 Weekly Challenge Oct. 13-Oct.20 Recurring Patterns (revisited)

Breaking the rules again with two photos. The first photo is the shot I wanted to enter, but it was too much like the example. The second shot is what I should have entered but didn't because the Gazebo is located in a Urban area and I could not get the open feeling I wanted in the picture and feel it took away from the photo.

(Both photos were taken today Helene. That green grass and not a mirage.)
