Just curious, did the class have you doing hue/channel adjustments or did you go the easy way with Nik Color Efex and the Indian Summer filter? ;)

Either way, nicely done.

All LR 5 with hue/channel touches and a few touches with the adjustment brush. I add in a bit of Perfect Effects 8 because I like the feel of the vignette and blur tools there.

And thanks! Quite the fun batch of editing!

Got to shoot my first senior session today... had a bit of fun! If you can't tell, he loves his guitars!

The below was his favorite pic of the bunch.

Took a little "artistic liberty" with this one, for purely selfish reasons. LOVED the high key B&W!

Never know what you're going to see when you're out and about with the camera...

After I shot the pics, I asked them what was up, and they directed me to the website goruck.com for more info...

Pretty cool stuff! (not to mention interesting outfits)

Got to get out and enjoy the local Day of the Dead Festival... My son's honors orchestra was playing, so I took the opportunity to wander and grab some shots after he was done. :)

My son doing his thing...

One of the cellists... loved the outfit, color and bushy beard combo.

Irony?

A little artistic touch on a young lady sitting in front of the DOD murals.

DOD Festival, part 3

This was one of the bands warming up before their performance.

Playing the accordion with machismo!

DOD17.jpg

This cute older couple was dancing to the music. You could see the devotion in their look.

DOD15.jpg

Not once did she set down her beer, though!

Another of the patrons with face paint.

DOD Festival, part 4 and last batch

Even the dead need to eat, right? Keeps the meat on their bones...

I'm a firm believer that, if you're patient, people will pose themselves properly even though they don't know you're taking their pic.

B&W version just because...

DOD4.jpg

Another "patience" shot with the perfect pose. Taking a rest...
