March 20th, it's been a while and it's still winter up here. So this morning, after nagging about the snow on the car I took my D7000, 105 macro with 32mm extension tube and tried to get some snowflakes. Just hard to do with the wind and the monopod.
But I got this one that's barely kind of OK.

Pano done with D600 24-120 vertical shots stitched in photoshop cc
St-Élizabeth pano d600.jpg

Same done with Fuji X10 (straight out of cam jpeg, slightly color corrected)
Église from fujipeg pano mode.jpg

Seems the Fuji has some artifacts in the upper diagonals, but a lot less work. Very useful when quality is not the main factor.

The Fuji captured somewhat smaller angle (the difference between 24mm and 28mm, in terms of a Leica format's angle of view)...

"...barely kind of OK", he says, while the rest of us marvel. What a cool shot!

March 27th, piano person for today. Not that great of a picture cause I was a little slow with the shutter speed and she kept closing her eyes, but look at that piano. A very finest example of book matched veneer on this Canadian made piano.

Seems I must be getting old. I'm sometimes taking pictures of my dinner :). But, it's still photography. I did notice that the depth of field is NOT very deep with the 120 at F-4.

March 28th. Well, it's still snowing and I'm left with my piano person of the day. So, while I was working alone in the hall at the local University, I thought I'd do something special. The piano person of today is no other than myself. Yup, a selfie done with the self-timer and the Fuji. Can't wait for all that snow to melt...

Very cool shot, and quite amazing DOF considering the EXIF showing aperture of 2.2. Those seats in the background are pretty durn sharp, but still a nice blur in the front. OOC, or edits?
