Thanks for the comments. That little beast was a mink (please correct me if I'm wrong) and was a bit curious. It was under a dock and came out just to have a look at us.

That is an American Mink, a member of the weasel family. These little guys were introduced into Canada back in the '20s to help start a furrier industry. The little beggars really like the environment up there.
Hope this helps. :)

Day 72, March 12th

Didn't have time to do much besides work today, so while I was waiting for a customer to come back home to pay me I went to the nearby park and caught this:

And I worked on this one for the dream challenge but was too late to post

Here's my piano person for today. The more I shoot, the more they seem to all be different. I'm beginning to really enjoy doing this particular project. I have to use all my charm to get them to pose like this one today. She told me she had spent the night in the hospital and was in no mood to have her picture taken. I told her that if she let me do the shot I wouldn't use it if she didn't like it, and, next time I'll do another one and let her choose. But she was happy and so am I with this shot. It was dark as hell but the D7000 made it through. Iso 1600, 1/40s @ 1.8 with the 35 1.8 G.

I went to visit my grand-daughter and came back with these. I wish I hadn't posted the others but didn't know about this impromptu visit.

These are really great, Marcel! Love the lake shot! I enjoy that you throw in so much variety in your groups. Excellent work.

When do you plan to put your book of "piano people" together and which publisher are you going to use?

Absolutely awesome shots, Marcel. The focus is stunning! I'm beginning to see the value of that 300 f4 lens! The water/duck shots are my favourite.

By the way...that American mink?....it's now a Canadian mink! :)....since you captured it in Canada! :)

Thanks Helene, Jack and all the others that are commenting on my pics. I'm having a great time playing around. But today I've discovered a water seepage in my basement and I have to dig outside the house under the porch in the F****g mud… Not a place for a camera.

Helene, I don't know when I will publish this book. For now, I'm just collecting pics. I have about 165 so far. I plan to start the layout next fall after my semi-retirement. I'm still pondering if I'll have text or not. Not so sure people would like their names in there… Well, for now it's a nice project that keeps me shooting. :friendly_wink:

Yup… And what makes me happy about it is that we will all get there at the same time, except the ones that won't. Hopefully all of us here will get there. Maybe we can have a photo contest to find out who will take the last picture before the world ends.

Day 76, March 16th 2012,

In the meantime, I've found that crack in my foundations and was able to deviate the water from it for now. I'll have to get an epoxy guy later to fill it. At least the water stopped leaking in.

So I treated myself to a chinese take-out lunch:

And then while rinsing my take-out aluminum plate, I took this one which is a little bit abstract, well maybe a lot abstract.

Now you all have a great day.
