Line's plant produced some flowers for the first time this year (a first for this plant). So I had to take a few shots and was too lazy to take the tripod out. So I used the old and infamous "spray and pray" technique to get just 2 acceptable shots.

Rust hidden treasures found today and captured with the Fuji X-E2 and Nikkor 50mm 1.8AFD with the Nikon >Fuji X adapter and 12mm extension tube. When doing macro, it's very useful to be able to magnify right in the viewfinder and see the histogram.

These are the pictures I did today. After seeing on FB someone looking to buy a D700, I responded and he wanted to see in what kind of shape it was. So I guess I decided to sell it. But maybe I'll be lucky and he won't. I still have an emotional bound with that piece of equipment. I never had any problem with it and it never deceived me. So here's my D700. It still looks like new.

Gee, you need to get out and give that D700 some more use. It's too pretty. You'd better keep it and give it a couple of scrapes and dings. :)

Thanks, and yes I know, it's still in great shape and I might just keep it. The young lad is waiting for an estimate for repairs of his accidentally damaged D7000 before he will commit to buying the D700. So I'm not holding my breath, but feel I have one body too much. So I'm actually hesitant to keep the Df or the D700. I'd probably loose less if I was to sell the Df, but I like it too much too... So it's just making room for the Fuji X-T2 that I'm looking at for travel. Future will tell.

I totally understand that feeling. I was fortunate to have it twice in my life. First with my Pentax Super Program in the film days and then with my D300. I didn't have to think about what I wanted to capture with either, I just did. Good luck with the decision.

I know you are thinking about the X-T2, right? I have to say that having had mine for around 8 months it is reminding me of the first year (of 7!) with my D300.

Well I got best of the year results at our local photography club for the different themes. Here are 2 of my primed shots. I've had a photo selected for every theme we had this year.

First one was " Martin Parr's way"

La Florida - copieweb.jpg

Second one was "Birds"
