022/365

Got the time?
Did this one for this weeks challenge. Decided to use it here as well.

Would you like to know what the numbers around the face of the watch are for? Or do you already know?

"Nosy"

I was laying on the floor with the camera in hand attempting a creative shot of sorts...and of course, whenever i lay on the floor, little miss nosy has to poke her head under my armpit. I just turned the camera around and shot it blind. I love her to death but soooo nosy! lol

I love this shot, Joe! Everything about is great! She certainly believes she's the center of your world! LOL

Ohhhh you aint kidding Helene! She has such a personality and shows every bit of it with those eyes and silly actions. Earlier she was mad at me for making her go out in the rain...she gave me the dirtiest look...I snapped a quick pick but wasn't focused right...darn...but it worked out because I got this one.

Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil

Just a little fun with a 30 second exposure, a flash and my daughter (who had a blast helping Daddy)

I love this shot! Very very creative! :) Nice work, Joe. :) How did you do this exactly? I've been trying to figure out how to do this for the past few weeks, but no luck.

Re: Project 365 - 2011 JoeLewisPhoto

Thank you!

as for how I did it...just set the camera on the tripod...set it to a 30 sec. exposure...had her stand to the left (she had her marks lol) shut off all the lights...set the focus....fired the shot, she posed, The I held the SB-600 with lightsphere up high, in between the camera and her....manually fired the flash....had her move to the middle position and pose, fired the flash.... and onto the 3rd position, fire flash etc etc...so in a nut shell, 3 separate poses, 3 separate flashes all in a 30 second slot. a little cropping and that was it...almost no work in post processing. It was fun...she had a blast and can't wait for us to do something like this again...she already has her ideas lol.

just looked at the pic again and i just noticed she must have moved her hands in the first pose as i hit the flash because there is some motion blur there. oh well, it was more about the time we had doing it, than the quality. We will be re-exploring this.

I feel you Joe, I can't wait for more light... but not the getting up earlier feeling. Nice shot, it has a warm calming feel to it.

Thanks Jen. It was anything but warm though. Right around 20 degrees and breezy when I took it. It was this or a washed up dead seagull that was laying only feet away....lol.

Just another sunset

Well, at least you could see it. We have 50-60 mph wind gusts with dust . . . couldn't even see the sun.
This is a very nice shot. . . I like the composition, especially the smoke stacks.
