Sold my first picture today. It was a 80cm x 60cm print of the bridge shot I took about 2 months back, printed on acrylic. From all accounts it looks amazing. Tonight I have a first test of a flower that somebody requested orange. I know I need it on a whit background but for a first test I jut took it on the plant. Not sure it it looks right or not as I'm guilty of over judging my shots at times. Input would be welcome...

Well done on selling a shot :D

I was going to say that this shot is a bit blown out at the bottom and then I went into my kitchen and looked back....Wow!! This looks great when you step back from the screen a bit. I don't think you need a white background at all. :D

I reeeeally like this first one. But guess it depends on what you print on, if blown out areas will be to distracting for the eye (just talking generally now). I don't think it's so good on glossy paper, but can be fine on matte/structured paper.

Tonight I decided to take a sneaky shot of the wife, then I softened converted to Black and white and added a little selective colouring just to finish it off. Now all I have to do is convince the wife to let me take a few shot's without using a long lens and stealth tactics...

Cheers Wud, I didn't know how they would turn out at first. It was more of a test shot as for a future project I have planned. Just need a rain coat for my camera now so I can take it out in the heavy rain.
I managed to rescue all the pictures from the laptop and feel that I may (when I have the time) be able to mend the broken hinge. But I have been, for some time now planning on buying a more suable machine for the task of editing. So dropping my laptop has pushed me forward with my plan.
