Another flower from my rainy day photo session. Don't know what this is either but I spotted it just off the road so I put down the window and took a shot. This blue flower is smaller than a fifty cent piece. Taken with D600 and 70-200VR lens.

Marilynne, I don't think that is it. There are too many differences between the two but thanks for giving it a try.

Rick, sometimes I go out and get some really nice pictures and other times I end up deleting them all. The D600 and Tamron 24-70 have great reviews so I am marking it up as a operator problem. Give me a couple of weeks and I will write down some of my thoughts about it after I have had time to make adjustments and get more acquainted with how it works.

Hmmm. You have 'gators everywhere and we have black bears. I think I'll stick with black bears.

There is a group of fellow photographers and we have been meeting every Thursday night for eight or nine years. We left a little early this past Thursday at about 7:40PM and as we walked out of our meeting someone suggested taking a picture to see how it would come out with my new D600. This was taken handheld with the following settings and is straight out of the camera except for a crop. This was shot as a test and nothing else.

ISO 6400
1/80 sec
F3.2
7:40PM at night

Roy, I'm guessing about 16in to 18in. tall.

Straight out of the camera except for re size. No post adjustments made. This is a JPEG shot today with D600 and 70-200VR F2.8 with 2x teleconverter shot hand held.

I was out taking pictures of the Osprey when I spotted this shrimp boat about a half mile away so I shot a frame to see how it would come out. I was happy with it.
