Jeff,

I know I have said this before, I do love your pelican shots. You really show the birds' personalities. I love today's posting. Thanks.

I glad you like them Barbra, I am limited on the types of birds in my area so I hope people are not getting tired of looking at the few types of birds I have access to. I appreciate your comments and hope everyone can put up with my limited selection of subjects.

Yes, but you get birds we will probably only see in a zoo. I know what you mean about limited bird photos, I could take Canada goose and crow photos all day long. We have thousands of them around here. I'm still waiting for the grey heron to return to my neighbor's pond. It's really an interesting bird.

Nikon MB-D14 battery grip

I played with all of this in the store but chose to have them ship it to me for a small shipping charge and save hundreds on the taxes. I am really looking forward to doing some shooting with this camera and lens combination. My credit Union job payed for the camera and grip and selling my D90 and a couple of lenses should pay for most of the lens I am getting.

This is a photo I took about three years ago but thought you may find interesting. The Osprey around here are very smart, because as you can see they have a fishing net in the nest for when they need to get dinner. This is a one in a lifetime shot!

You're gonna love that lens Jeff.

I have read a lot of good things about the lens and am looking forward to shooting with it but the one thing that concerns me is the weight. When I tried the D600, battery grip and that lens it was a big attention getter weight wise.
