Nice shots vermonster, 8mm sure is wide! How do you like that lens overall?

Morning Rick, I'm using a Sigma 8-16mm 1:4.5-5.6. For some things, I love it, for others the verdict is not in yet. For instance, yesterday I took 300 picks with it and 90% were not sharp (probably the guy behind the lens though). You also have the significant distortion around the edges at 8mm (which is a desired effect for close to fisheye type shots).

I guess overall I like it. Its a DX lens so I use it with my D90 and take it everywhere.

I don't know what the weather was like where you are, but today we had 69 degrees F with all sun and no wind! SO my photo today is of our first blossomed tulip. Not jealous any more Jen!

Must have been pretty bright to shot 1/2000 at f7.1

I am learning about exposure. I've been a photo taker for 40 years, but just now learning exposure. I am shooting with the "M" mode and after 20 shots of varying shutter speeds and aperture settings, this one was the best. Some of you guys can go outdoors, see a scene and know what your exposure settings will be. That will be a ways off for me; thus I have been hanging around this site a lot!

Loch Ness has their monster "Nessy". Lake Champlain has its own monster "Champ". He/She hasn't been spotted for a while; but with the lake's record high water level, I was able to photograph it tonight.

It's been raining all day. Put up an umbrella and took some tulip shots! I may have some snow pics coming Thursday (though I hope not).

Nice shot Chris, you can almost feel the cold rain. We have a chance of snow too, worst winter and spring I can remember!

We are supposed to get another 2 to 3 inches of rain by tomorrow. Liverpool probably has similar weather patterns to my neck of the woods; LONG extended winter. I think it's time to send the rain down to Helene's country in the southwest!
