Lightroom... pushed clarity and about 1/2 of Dehaze... Tweaked the contrast and exposure, and a bit of saturation...and of course, I'm duty bound to hit it with a bit of Topaz sgarpening... Could have done better with a RAW file...

Me neither... all I can think is the "Non-CPU Lens Data" menu was messed up

The issue is the higher resolution of the D810. Not many lenses can take advantage of the higher res. of that sensor. 20mm 24-70mm 2.8 70-200mm 2.8 200-500mm 5.6 Pretty much covers the entire forcal length range... Your advantage at this time is the fact that all these lenses are now being...

You'd be hard pressed to find a sharper lens in that range than this one at MBP.com

It would be a shame to waste the resolution of the D810 with that lens.

The D810 is a 36M sensor...I don't think that lens can resolve that sensor simply because of the age/design of the lens. Hence the crappy DXO scores. It isn't the fault of the lens, it's just simply at the time that lens was designed, the then current pro and semi-pro sensors were in the 10-12M...

I've played with several TCs in my many years. I've never seen one that a loss of detail/sharpness wasn't readily apparent within seconds. I've always been amused at their pricing structure...

I just tested 3 Nikon S lenses, my FTZ, and a Non-Nikon Z mount lens. Non have any perceptive movement or twist. They lock in smartly

A lot of folks use Adobe's Lightroom for the Catalogue aspect. Taking pictures is one aspects. Editing is another, but the one most folks start late on until their overwhelmed is a method of cataloguing/storing their images for later retrieval...
