Update to the Weekly Challenges and Monthly Assignments

Luminar also lets you add your own skies... On evenings when there have been spectacular sunsets, and/or days that have had particularly interesting clouds... I have taken many photos of just the horizon's and sky for my own collection... Again... It gets back to the honor system

Update to the Weekly Challenges and Monthly Assignments

Our interpretation at the college is AI is okay as long as all the bits and pieces are all yours. Even Ansel Adams and all the old guys back-in-the-day were dodging and burning their images heavily in the darkroom. Manipulation is nothing new. We have a local art studio that has done several...

    Anyone making slideshows?

I use iMovie. it doesn't like tiff, so I use jpg... I use Lightroom for the catalogue and my main editor... and I generally print stuff 11X14 on a Canon printer, so my general work all gets sized for those dimensions. Lightroom lets me export stuff with a template and all I have to do is change...

    Anyone making slideshows?

Yup... If you're gonna post your work... you wanna post the best possible quality, you can... Two programs you might want to consider are Topaz' GigaPixel AI and their Video program... GigaPixel lets you upscale your images... and has a batch mode, so you can batch upscale a set of images to...

    Anyone making slideshows?

That's pretty good... but YT has the capability to play 4K... I think you're limiting yourself by maxing at 720p... Afterall, your macro shots are all about the sharpness and the fine details...

    FX lens on DX body

It'll work fine... If anything, that 28-300 was always considered a bit "soft" by folks that talk about "tack sharp"...

    Anyone making slideshows?

Only limits would be your upload speeds. I’ve uploaded several gig videos to YT. It takes longer for YT to process them that does for me to upload them.

    Anyone making slideshows?

I make just 4k videos... why do anything less?

    Anyone making slideshows?

I use Imovie on my Mac... We have an option as a final project for these courses at the college to either print the class projects or do a slide show... Printing gets both expensive and timely within the timeline of the course, so I usually do the slide show... This was done simply in about an...

That's starting to look like something... Maybe get down to the water level as much as you can, and aim up a little bit..

If you're trying to highlight the "channels'... You might want to try a panoramic shot that's pulled back farther into the frame...with more of the water at the bottom of the shot... as it is, the actual channel part is less than 1/4 of the frame and gets lost in the foliage which is the top 3/4...

    AF Micro 105mm 2.8 with D5600

I have both the 60mm D and the 105mm VR... I've had no issues... For jewelry macro work, you can pretty much use a block of ice for a lens because everything is pretty static and controlled.

Set tripod height for wildlife photography

They make these... but it's only compatible with the DSLRs, not the mirrorless cameras...they make the tilt screen in the Z series for that

    Sensor cleaning needed

I would try the blower first... If you got a "wet" glob of something while changing the lens... not unusual, the blower might not be sufficient. Then it's wet cleaning time... They sell "Full frame and Crop" sensor swabs specifically for cleaning sensors on Amazon... they're sterile single-use...
