Here are piano strings (bass) and bridge. 17-55 2.8 @55 2.8, iso 800.

Got my 17-55 2.8 back from the repair shop today and had to do a few with it. Nice lens. These were taken with the D90.

Daytime job. Here are the tools used to restring a piano. I just finished the treble strings and will do the bass this afternoon.

It's not so easy to find these today. Seems del lights have taken the market. But I was able to find one that said something to me at least. Did it in B & W just to give it mood and since the original color was awful wrong.

Is the "Like" feature gone for good or is this just a temporary glitch? Just wondering why it's not there anymore. Just this morning I "liked" a post and now the thing is gone... Thanks for all your work jdeg.

A little early, but I'll have this one at least so if nothing better comes along this will be it for today. This is a deliberate out of focus shot of piano tuning pins heavily filtered.

Seems I'm unable to upload pictures in my gallery… Is there something going on or is it just me? Am I being banned :) Just wondering if others have the same problem now.

I'm quite proud of this pic. This was taken from outside the green house in Sherbrooke, no retouching besides a little contrast and sharpening.

I made this arrugula and yellow bell peppers tonight. I felt like I could contribute to keep this thread alive. D90, 28-80 3.3-5.6, 1/80 f5.6 iso 640.

Thanks James, the winter tires have been on for a week now. I tried the same shot converted to B&W and I'm not sure which one I prefer. Opinions welcome...

Not to compete with Rick "axeman", but this cat came up on the piano bench while I was tuning it's Mistress' piano. 1/160s f2, 55mm 1.2 manual focus Nikkor with the D700 @ 3200 iso.

Thoughts about a tough decision: Repair or Replace.

Here's my first shots with the newly acquired 105 2.5 Ais. It has something so sweet. Very nice bokeh. I'll have some more shots tomorrow.

Well today's piano turned out much nicer than yesterday's. I was also trying out my new (used) Nikkor 105, f2.5. Combined with the D700, this lens creates the WOW factor. It's sharp and almost magical. I'd like to introduce my sister Louise:

The tuner alone preserves the tone… But sometimes it's too late, and, they don't dig graves for pianos (unfortunately).
