Rick, feel free to let me know if showing what I would do on this forum upsets you. I didn't have access to CS5 last night so today I made a mask for the stone only, played with the saturation and contrast and this is what I ended up with. It's only my view and I'm only trying to help, so I hope...

Day 55m, Feb 24th 2012 My tuning companion, this iPAQ has seen it all. It's been so far the most trustworthy piece of equipment that I've bought. Hopefully, saying this won't affect it's performance for the future. D90, 18-200VR, 1/100s, f 4.5, iso 1600.

Although the exif shows this has been taken today, I had to try copying an old 35mm transparency just using my sigma macro 105. The original was taken around 1970s. I just held the slide in front of the window and shot hand held. I'll have another real pic taken today later.

Nikon published a technical guide for the D 800. Seems like it could very well apply to the D 7000 as well. You can get the pdf download here: http://www.nikonusa.com/en_US/o/Y6wrkA9OU_z04IreazIXl_22UII/PDF/D800_TechnicalGuide_En.pdf

    It's just not right!

I wasn't home on my computer when I answered this morning, but here's what I had in mind with post processing: This might not be exactly what you would like or want, but it's just to give you an idea of the possibilities of post processing. This is one thing where a lot of photographers...
