    Tripod legs

I'm sure there is a thread somewhere on the site but I couldn't find it. I'm wanting to spend around $200 for a set of tripod legs and need some suggestions of what to look for and some makes and models to check out while I'm doing my research. I already have several good heads. Thanks, Grandpaw

Thanks Scott! This is a portrait of one of my cats. She was sitting by me when I had some of my pelican portraits up on my computer screen and insisted on me taking one of her.

I have posted several portraits lately of some of my bird friends and was asked yesterday to do my first family portrait so I gave it a try. It is a young family just starting out so I was honored to be chosen for the job!

Picking where to shoot an air show successfully is like finding were to get a store to start a business..... LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!!! I learned a lot about where to be and what settings to use and not use on my camera this weekend. I will be much more informed for the next time!!!

This was my first air show and I learned a lot of things that you need to do and several things NOT to do. I think next time my pictures will be a lot better and my keeper rate much higher.

First air show and I was about two miles away from the action. I only got just a very few keepers out of the bunch. Where I was shooting from, they were on me before I knew they were coming.

This was a bit of a stretch even for the Tamzook. this was taken at a distance of about 600ft and cropped heavily. It was a small dot in the distance.
