"Crossed Swords" I think this is my favorite image from this week!!!

This is a very unusual shot and was taken a long distance at 600mm with my camera in DX mode giving it the 35mm effect with the crop factor of 900mm. The pole was far away and up high with the sky and clouds in the background along with another egret.

Wev, your post says it is OK to edit so I took the first picture and the only thing I did to it was to add a plus one to the exposure. I will be glad to mind my own business if you prefer.

This was taken with my Tamron 150-600mm at 600mm and I believe it was in DX mode on my D600 effectively stepping it up to 900mm I need to try shooting at maybe a Fstop of F8 or F11 instead of wide open at F6.3 and use my tripod to see what this lens can really produce.

I went to a reenactment today and it was very difficult to get a shot without something like cars, port-a-potties or something else in the background to ruin the shot!!! Here are a few I managed to get. And just for the curious who want to know, the South won!!!!!!!!!
